Criss Angel
Mystifier Criss Angel transcends tradition and has
created a new form of extreme entertainment that he
calls “Mindfreak”. Think Harry Houdini meets
Cirque d’Soleil meets Fear Factor and you’ll
have a pretty good sense of what this show is all about.
In each episode Criss literally defies reality and puts
his life on the line. From catching a real bullet in
his teeth to levitating people on the street to having
himself burned alive, each show will be packed with
things that boggle the imagination. To prove the credibility
of his demonstrations, they are all performed live in
public spaces in front of real pedestrians rather than
on a stage before an audience. The show will offer a
totally unique glimpse behind the scenes as Criss prepares
and trains with his team to execute each demonstration.
One of the most compelling elements of the show is witnessing
his real family’s unfiltered reaction to the crazy
risks he takes.

Lock the doors …turn on the lights … Prepare
to experience Halloween like never before! The Mindfreak,
Criss Angel descends upon Hollywood’s famous Magic
Castle and his hometown New York in a tour de force
of mysticism, mentalism and death defying stunts. The
one-hour CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK: Halloween Edition will
make its World Premiere Monday, October 31 @ 10PM/9C,
with an encore airing on Tuesday, November 1, at 11PM/10C.
The Special Presentation carries a rating of TV-PGL.
In, CRISS ANGEL MINDFREAK: Halloween Edition master
provocateur, Criss Angel will alarm us all when he attempts
the potentially lethal escape, “iN-Pieces.”
For this stunt, Criss Angel will be shackled …
handcuffed … and then nailed into a pine casket
that is rapidly approaching a giant, industrial BioChipper
— a menacing, gigantic, mechanical slicing machine
capable of shredding massive tree trunks in a matter
of seconds. With his shackled hands in clear sight at
all times, Criss Angel must escape from the casket before
he is shredded into a million pieces . . . Throughout
the special, we will see Criss Angel’s intense
preparation for this awe-inspiring, spectacle.
But first, from the celebrated Magic Castle stage,
Criss Angel performs some of his signature effects including
Needles from Stomach, Razor Blades and String From Eye,
and offers up new supernatural demonstrations of mentalism
in front of a live audience. He then tests his mind-control
abilities by performing a mass interactive experiment
with the television audience--right through their screens,
and also performs requests sent by viewers via email
and letters!
At one point while reminiscing over some childhood
photos, Criss Angel is transported from Los Angeles
to New York where he performs a trick that’s a
real treat for children at his front door. Criss Angel
then culminates his trip to New York with a sentimental
visit to Houdini’s grave on the 79th anniversary
of the legendary magician’s death – Halloween,
1926. At the cemetery, Houdini’s spirit appears
as strange events occur.
